Miller To Start Against Bulls

CHICAGO -- After two days of receiving treatment on his low back injury, 76ers point guard Andre Miller will be in the starting lineup for tonight’s game in the United Center against the Chicago Bulls.
“It feels way better with the treatment and rest,” Miller said before the game. “I kind of relaxed for a couple of days and we’ll see what happens.”
With backcourt mate Willie Green out with a low back injury, Miller’s presence is even more important.
Sixers coach Maurice Cheeks said before the game that he expects Green to be able to play Saturday against San Antonio.

Zeru:

Dag Marc...why did you change the blog platform so close to a game...Was that last question I asked too contraversial? lol I know you've had to think it yourself one time or another or is it the media's best/worst kept secret?

sfw:

Great to see Iggy & Thad starting!

Zeru:

Miller is hurting the team...

Zeru:

He's hurt

hcatchings:

this may not be the best time to bring it up, but I've always liked this Thabo fella.

by the way, this doesn't look good.

Zeru:

Miller shouldn't start the second half...He's hurt...not playing effective and unable to bend...they should put him on ice

pessimist:

Horrendous showing, crap effort all round
Outrebounded, outhustled

John:

First game i n awhile where they are getting outworked

hcatchings:

Why did we make those buildings taller than Willy P? Why, why, why, why

Cheeks is too soft
Why does Marc keep saying "we" in his blogs?
How come NYC is cooler than us?
Why are we so fat?
We should have traded a. Miller

Zeru :

Thank God Moe came to his senses and recognized miller was hurt

pessimist:

Well, I'm pretty embarrassed now...here's me eating crow. This team found a way to get back in it tonight, win or lose, they can hold their heads high tonight

Zeru:

NOW THAT IS WHAT THE HELL I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!

Abbiamo vinto a chicago rimontando 16 punti!! Fantastici....

hcatchings:

we're awesome

Craig:

I experienced this comeback via an online gamecast. It's times like this I wish I lived somewhere I could watch this team growing up. It was exciting just to see the score changing.

Even when they were way down I felt they could come back. That's as big a sign of their progress this season as any.

Mo deserves credit for this win. He's developing a team that knows how to play more focused than the other side. They drew key offensive fouls three times in the fourth, got into the penalty early, and hit their free throws. This was one of their better free throw shooting efforts.

Rodney Carney, just keep doing what you're doing.

JBP:

WOW!

Kevin Ollie, Iguodala, Jason Smith, Carney, Williams...WOW!

Great character win and confidence booster.

MO CHEEKS should get some Coach of Year consideration!

WOW!

suede:

We may be able to finally cross a 3 pt. shooter off our summer shopping list. How about L.Will.!s defense!!!Loved the players on the bench all standing and cheering at the end.Missed first half, heard Reggie hit some more free throws.

anti_moron:

Some of you guys make me feel embarrassed about being a Philly fan ... What problem do you have with Mark Narducci ??? I visit other team´s blogs and they sound fine; here it´s like everybody hates everybody.

Zeru, you should be embarrassed, after having so much negative vibes during the game. And that John is a moron.

The Sixers are playing well and they are going to the playoffs; Mo knows what he´s doing; the players are giving it all. Philly fans, start being positive for once !

larry:

Suede,

I don't think Rodney is quite ready for the 3-point shooting contest yet. His 3 for 3 performance gets him up to shooting .257 for the season.

It was noteworthy that Cheeks gave him a long leash tonight. Usually, one or two misses gets Rodney a seat on the bench. I guess being down 16 going into the fourth, Mo figured what-the-hell. Rodney was 1 for 7 going into the 4th, but he was 4 for 4 in the final quarter, for 12 points. Maybe these last two games will be the confidence builder he obviously needs.

anti_moron:

Sorry, I made a mistake; John isn´t the moron, the moron is hcatchings.

Go Sixers !!!!!!!!!

suede:

His shooting percentage was terrible at the beginning of the year[33%] its now up to about 42%, that!s major improvement. As that goes up, I think the 3 pt. perc. will follow.

Barton:

Sweet, just sweet. Whenever I think of Mo Cheeks I see him dunking to punctuate the sweep over LA. Now I can also think of him as one heck of a motivational coach. Even my non-Philly friends here in the Big Apple are starting to come around. When you play well for five or six games it may just be a spurt. When you play at a 60-70% level for nearly 20 games it says a lot about just how good you actually are and how much better you can be. Bad or mediocre teams do not stay on rolls for this long. Yes there is still a gap between us and the upper echelon, but it's shrinking quickly even though that is a hard thing for a die hard Philly fan to admit after so many years in sports Purgatory. We tend to wallow in our misery. But now I think it's time to smile.

jsnydes:

Sweet game even on gamecast. Breath in, enjoy the smell of an 18 point 4th quarter comeback victory. The up coming schedule is nasty. When do we play Jersey?

suede:

What coach has had more of an effect on his team, Mo or Doc Rivers. Larry, tried to come up with a veteran ass. coaching candidate, seems the cupboard is bare.

Zeru :

What are you talking about "Moron" why should I be i embarrassed if I was right...As soon as Cheeks recognized that Miller was hurt we started winning...If anything I was encouraging an adjustment that should have happened in the first half...We did what we needed to do why would I be embarrassed? If anything I'm proud of the coaching staff and the team. If you watched the game he was hurt. He ws kinda leaning forward instead of running. Shut your mouth "Moron". I'm the biggest positive endorser but Dre was hurt..It was what it was

Zeru:

With this particular Boston team Doc Rivers is overrated. Come on now. Have Moe and Doc switch personell and tell me with a straight face we'd be just as well off with Rivers...Boston had a young team last year that was better than our team this year..Al Jefferson's post presence...Paul Pierce outside shooting and star power. Perkins and Ryan gomes defensive weapon that plays offense well and a whole bunch of young athletc guys..Its not even a discussiion who has the better coaching knowledge and pedigree. Cheeks is freakin outstanding
