Christine Fischer, who's catered around here under the ChriStevens name, says she's signed a lease for the old Astral Plane at 1708 Lombard St., which closed July 1 after 34 years. She's sprucing the place up and will add an international menu when she opens as Astral Plane -- or some permutation thereof -- in mid-October. Founder Reed Apaghian (right) will own the bricks. And presumably get to keep the parachute ceiling, which will be replaced.
