Philly police want to find an employee of the Fishtown bar Johnny Brenda's after an incident Saturday night outside Standard Tap in Northern Liberties, which share ownership. Nick Cooney of the protest group Hugs for Puppies says he and other Puppies were demonstrating when an employee threw coffee on a middle-aged protester and dashed back into the Tap. Cops from Civil Affairs, who monitor Puppies' protests, went into the bar to get his info for a police report; Cooney says employees refused to give him up. It's believed that he works at Johnny Brenda's. Cooney says that he and Tap owner Paul Kimport have had "a few good conversations" about foie gras. More on this as it develops...

It is a shame in a country where people fight so hard for personal freedoms, we have to be told what and what not to eat by self righteous
"do gooders". I believe in the right to protest and the right to freedom to do what ever I want even if that means eatingsomething you don't think I should. I personally don't even eat foie gras, but I also believe it is not up to me to decide if some one else s allowed to. This is basic American freedom. What comes next? Slippery, slippery slope.

Lets not forget that these protesters have been spitting on people, and even reminding restaurant owners/workers that, "We know where you sleep at night." One of these tools even attempted to physically intimidate me at the Fairmount Grill's Bastille Day - kind of funny that a 5'11" emaciated vegan would think he was intimidating to a 6'3 215lb boxer.
Hugs, get out of my stomach, and stay out of my morals.
