Basil, which filled the spot of an old Seafood Shanty in Paoli, has closed after nine years. Observers note that it never drew the praise/traffic/buzz that's surrounded its associated eateries: Tango, Nectar and Maia.
Co-owner Marty Grims says the site will be developed into an office building.
