Fairmount Park postcard contest

Want to have your photo on a Fairmount Park postcard? Check out the release below:

JFK Plaza / LOVE Park, Philadelphia Fairmount Park is conducting a contest for all photographers who would like their digital photo displayed on an official Fairmount Park Postcard. The tradition of postcards continues to be a favorite way for tourists to send their love to family and friends back home, and serve as vacation keepsakes. The new LOVE Shop in the Fairmount Park Welcome Center offers LOVE reproductions of the famous Robert Indiana sculpture in Love Park. We have invited the public to help expand our souvenir offerings, and gain a little fame of their own. Here is how the contest works:

 Take a digital photo of your choice in Fairmount Park: Landscapes, Wildlife, Historic Structures, Bridges, People, YOU decide what inspires you! (300dpi)
 Email your photo to FAIRMOUNTPARKPHOTO@GMAIL.COM ASAP!
 Be sure to include the photographer’s complete name, phone number, and a short one sentence caption for the photo. NO ALIASES!
 Photos must be appropriate for all audiences to be considered.
 Photos will be displayed on our website www.fairmountpark.org , click the LOVE button.
 All photos will be numbered; the public will be instructed to vote for their favorite photo by email to FAIRMOUNTPARKPHOTO@GMAIL.COM . Voting will end April 15th.
 The top 10 photos will be professionally printed as a postcard which will be offered for sale in the LOVE Shop in the Fairmount Park Welcome Center.
 Winning photographers will be credited on the back of the postcard with a caption. NO monetary compensation is offered. ALL photos submitted become the property of Fairmount Park.
 All winners will be invited to the 2008 Summer in LOVE kick off press event in LOVE Park taking place the first week of May. Complete details will follow.

The Fairmount Park Welcome Center is located at 1599 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19102. Open Monday through Friday from 10 – 3.
