Dance With Them

alg_gravity.jpg

Roots-pop stalwarts Old 97s have maintained a remarkably high standard of work considering that their lead singer and songwriter, Rhett Miller, also has a productive solo career to attend to. The galloping, thoughtful, twangy, lovelorn songs on the mighty fine Blame It On Gravity, which came out yesterday, can be sampled here. The tri-coastal (New York, Texas, and L.A.) band plays the Trocadero tonight. Here's the video for "Dance With Me," in which some dude with a beard imagines what he would do to prove his love to Battlestar Gallactica's Tricia Helfer, if he could only get past the velvet rope.
