Since joining the Inquirer in 1985, Ginny Smith has been a city reporter and medical writer, City Editor and Pennsylvania Editor. In March 2006, she became the paper’s gardening writer, which has been the most fun of all. Ginny recently won a silver award of achievement from the national Garden Writers Association in the newspaper-writing category.
