PHL update: Slipping but not off the cliff

Operations at PHL can be graded just fair at this hour, with more delays as the day has gone on. About two-thirds of arrivals and departures through 5 p.m. have been on time. If you're headed out to the airport to pick up passengers, use the links in the right-hand column of this page for airline Web sites, www.flightstats.com or www.phl.org to check on their expected arrival. As the first phase of this hectic weekend nears its end, we can almost smell the roast turkey.

Tom:
As far as I am concerned, the operation at the airport today was EXCELLENT. Most flights ON TIME,, waiting lines at the TSA area NONE.. All the media was making this out to be a horrible day with long lines... NOTHING.. Why not report that everything went BETTER then the media wss reporting// I was there and saw it with my own eyes.. NO baggage problem.. NO long waits for checked baggage... REPORT IT... IT IS TRUE. If there were a problem, I am sure it would be reported on the front page..so everything went very well REPORT IT. AS THE TRUTH...

In this article, you refer to Lagos as the capital of Nigeria. A Nigerian friend of mine finally set me straight -- it's Abuja. Lagos is just a great big city.
