Tom,
Want to know my issue with US Airways? No place to hang one's jacket in
the forward cabin on their Airbus 319, 320 & 321 aircraft.
They reconfigured the cabins after combining with America West, taking out
the closets, reducing seating up front, adding a couple additional rows in
main cabin, and installing coathooks in the rear bulkhead. Problem is, more
often than not, there are no hangers. The flight attendants have the
typical "oh well" attitude and blame management.
In today's increasingly casual world, there is still a cadre of travelers
who wear jackets and ties, and would appreciate the availbility of hangers
for our coats. I have written to the Chairman's desk complaining on several occasions and
sometimes they respond and sometimes they don't.
Trite? Perhaps, but I fly weekly and it was one of the few perks left.

Why would anyone check a bag on US into/out of PHL? What, are you crazy? You may never see your bag again, and if/when you do, who knows when it might show up and what may have happened to it! While US is doing better now than it was, that is no accomplishment at all. Going from abysmal to bad is not something to be proud of....
