Airline executives from the major carriers warned at a New York conference yesterday of more fare increases and other effects of the spike in oil prices. Even Southwest, the only carrier expected to make money this year, is making plans for cuts in its long-standing growth plans. This is not Chicken Little talking, folks, the problems are very real.
