Make the call

A colleague stuck her head in my office today and said she'd read my blog and decided to go ahead and get her mammogram.
Yes! I cheered her on. It's important. We all heard it last week from Robin Roberts. If there are any issues, early detection is key. And I certainly felt that way last December when I learned my breast cancer was at stage 0.
My colleague said she'd had the prescription for a year.
Anybody else waiting around? Stop now and make the appointment.
It could be lifesaving.

Jodi Rose:

I hope the following story may inspire others:

During the months of January and February 2007 I found myself living in the Philadelphia Ronald Mc Donald House; since in December 2006, my 18 year old son had been diagnosed with cancer. Though most days and nights I spent in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, I was enormously impressed with the kindness, and magnanimity of RMDH for families like mine, who could not have handled their overwhelming burdens unaided. When my son sadly passed away in February 2007, I determined to do something to repay RMDH for their benevolence and steadfast support

Under the auspices of my 20 year old, non-profit Company “Opera on the Go” (www.operaonthego.org)
I have organized a RMDH Benefit Concert: Hope For The Future, to be presented on Sunday, September 16th, at 2:pm, in the World Café Live, located at 3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia. The Concert will include performances by a local high school chorus, as well as professional musicians, and is artistically a wonderful production filled with Broadway Classics. All proceeds from this concert will be donated to the RMDH, an organization whose motives and mission statement are to facilitate families during times of great duress in their private lives.

Any promotion you could give to support this cause would be greatly appreciated. Please everyone come down and join us for a wonderful afternoon of music. Thank You. Jodi Rose
