Turning 21

Since my last entry:

1. The mens NCAA tournament only has one game left, a rematch of the football championship, Florida vs. Ohio State

2. Opening day is tonight.

3. The Phillies still havent figured out their bullpen problems.

4. Anna Nicole Smith. Enough said.

5. Dick Vitale has almost had a coronary about 17 times.

6. The number of murders in Philadelphia has already reached 101.

7. Boston Red Sox fans are still the most unknowledgable baseball fans I've ever met.

Let me put it simply-- it's gonna be a long season for us Phillies fans. The bullpen, mainly in the form of Ryan Madsen and Flash Gordon, have coughed up two otherwise excellent pitching performances from Brett Myers and young Southpaw Cole Hamels. And as we speak, (well, as I write) the Fightin' Phils are trying to give away another game. As my dad just texted me, "Howard K's again with ducks on the pond." This comes after he duffs a ball that cost the Phils 2 runs.

I dont want to rant and rave early here in the season, but sweet fancy moses, we do this every year. Suck it up during April and then have to play lights out to make the playoffs, which obviously we dont do at the end.

Tonight, I'm heading to service downtown for Good Friday (yes, a day early). I will post again when I return from dial-up country a.k.a home. Have a good weekend.

The Phils are 3-8. The Sixers have officially been eliminated from the playoffs. And the Flyers finished the season with their worst record in team history I believe. Not to mention we're gettin ready for a nice little storm here in the Philadelphia region. Don Imus. Rutgers Womens Basketball. NJ Governor Corzine. What a few weeks its been.

The reason I havent posted as much as I should, or as much as I'd like to, is that I'm now working part time with the Department of the Navy on top of my full class schedule. I'm really not home very much at all anymore, other than to sleep. I'm at either work, class, or the Tech Center doing work. Only three more weeks until this semester is over, and a few weeks after that the first summer session begins and I'll be going full time immediately.
