The sun rose above some white roofs, white fields and glazed windshields this morning as parts of the region experienced their first frosts of the season.
Conditions were ideal for frost, with temperatures in the 30s, light winds and high humidity.
Frost can occur when the air temperature is above freezing because cold air sinks, and some surfaces, such as metal car roofs, can be colder than the surrounding air.
Look for a repeat tonight.
