Almanac, Nov. 19

For the second consecutive day, the temperature fell to 20 on this date in 1936, and both were record lows for the dates in Philadelphia.

Parts of the region are seeing their first snowflakes, but so far the official temperature hasn’t got past 32 in Philadelphia this season.

That is expected to change Thanksgiving weekend, with low temperatures in the upper 20s forecast for Saturday.
