Devastation in Bangladesh

That devastating cycle that rammed into Bangladesh has killed at least 1,100 people, and hundreds more are missing, according to the United News of Bangladesh.

Top winds in Tropical Cyclone Sidr were estimated at better than 155 m.p.h., making it the equivalent of Category 5 hurricane in the Atlantic Basin.

Here is a satellite image of Sidr as it approached land.
