Freeze Deferred

The first official freeze in Philadelphia obviously is going to come later than it did in 1953 (see Almanac, Nov. 6).

The forecast for the daily minimums have been bumped up a bit from yesterday. It is still going to turn quite chilly this week, with morning temperatures in the mid-30s.

The first cold rain of the season is possible Friday, with some snowflakes possible as nearby as the Lehigh Valley, but in Philadelphia temperatures are forecast to remain above freezing well into next week.
