As one might expect, the forecasts for the weekend storm have been changing from model cycle to model cycle.
The latest thinking is that precipitation will start as snow Saturday night or Sunday morning and then change to rain.
It is unclear whether this will become Philadelphia’s first measurable snow of the season. You may recall that snow whitened the ground in some of the suburbs last week.
This is a large storm that is going to affect a wide swathe of the country, and you can expect more model changes during the next two days.
On his blog, Accu-Weather meteorologist Henry Margusity discusses the storm and the shifting models.
We’ll check back later.
