December Marches In

A howling, March-like wind is due this afternoon and this evening, with wind gusts up to 50 m.p.h.

The storm blamed for causing all manner of travel problems yesterday in the Midwest and Northeast is gaining strength off New England and lashing us with backlash winds.

Here is the National Weather Service’s advisory.

For the rest of the week, it will be unmistakably December, with daytime highs mostly in the 30s, nights in the 20s and a decent chance of flurries or now showers tomorrow and Wednesday.
