Snow, 2 p.m. Update

It may seem more like white rain, and may be falling at the rate of an inch a week, but it is still snowing and is expected to continue into the evening.

Temperatures are in the upper 20s, but the snow isn't sticking to the streets in most of the region.

Along with generous helpings of salt, drivers are getting some help from the sun, which is still beaming away, albeit behind the clouds. For awhile it was even visible as a dim disk.

Roads should become icier in a couple of hours as the sun loses its power, so the afternoon commute could be dicey.
