Meteorologists are confident that Philadelphia will get its first measurable snow of the season today, starting sometime this morning.
Although it the forecast calls for snow to continue until late tonight, accumulations will be light, with about an inch around Philadelphia, a little less north and west and a little more south and east.
This is a classic “clipper” system diving from the Dakotas to the Atlantic Coast in a hurry. This morning, it appears to slightly juicier than it did yesterday, but that’s not saying a whole lot.
It’s possible that the coastal areas will get an extra dose of snow tonight as the storm consumes some Atlantic moisture, but, again, this won’t be a big deal.
After today, temperatures are going to moderate and could head back into the 50s by next week.
