Valerie Mansapit:

May you always rest in peace. You and your family are forever etched into my heart and mind. You will not be forgotten.

Deb Mitchell:

I am so glad you made it home safe. I hope that the country does get a chance to read and hear what you witnessed. Our soldiers need someone to tell the country the truth.

Thank You so much.

Kathy McKelvey:

I have been brought closer to my son's experience with your travels. God bless you for taking such risks to provide us with the insight of the war in Iraq. Forever grateful Mother to a Marine now in Iraq.

Jim,

You've come full circle now...back home. Jesse's grave site is an awesome photo...it captures his father's love, devotion, and remembrance. It's a fitting final photo, because the circumstances behind it also motivated you to be in IRAQ.

I am praying for you and your family...that this time of transition back to the US will bring you peace together, deepen your bonds of love and shared mission, and renew your spirits!

I am going to really miss logging on and sharing the journey with you, but all journeys end. So I bless you on your way, and say "thank you" for sharing this portion of your journey with me.

"May God, the source of hope, fill you with all joy and peace by means of your faith in him, so that your hope will continue to grow by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15:13)

James Mitchell (Jimmy):

Mr. Spiri,

My name is Jimmy, and i am in Mrs. Blackwell's class. She has informed us about your blog, and quite frankly...i am deeply impressed. Your stories about your expiriences are great. They give family members of the soldiers a chance to feel like they are there with thier loved ones, and they give people like me who does not have someone dear in the war, great incite on the braveries (if that is a word) of the American sodiers. It is really cool that you are brave and go out there in such a dangerous time. Another cool thing is "Spiri in Iraq" it is your last name and it is almost SPIRIT...i thought that was neat. Back on a more serious note,
your blog and journeys are impressive, and when you came to the school and showed us some pictures and told us your stories i felt closer to the situation in Iraq.

Thank you, God Bless

Michael Fulsome:

Dear Mr. Spiri,
I dont know if you remember me or not. Its been a couple years since we last spoke. My name is Michael Fulsome and I first met Jesse
when my family lived in Silver City. I made the mistake of calling him a waitress and he
poured a little iced tea on my head.

Michael Fulsome :

It's Michael again and I just thought I'd write again. (I dont know any other way to contact you). I just enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program for the United States Marine Corps, on 9/11 as a matter of fact. My M.O.S. is Infantry. I ship to basic Aug 3 2009, I'm bummed it's a ways off but people tell me that the date will be here before I know it. Anyways I enjoy all the articles you write about.
