Chris Sheftic:

Jim, Thank you so much for your article about B Troop. We are extremely proud of all our military personnel and especially our son, Matt.
Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your son. As you know, we lost our precious Lauren almost six years ago. Losing a child, no matter what the circumstances is ever easy. Although you run into parents who try to compare how their child passed, the end result is the same and your future as a parent, takes a hook in the road. It's almost as if we live a parallel life--the one we are forced to live and the one we wish we still had. Oh, we make adjustments, we alter traditions, but it is never the same again. God be with you on your daily journey. You and your family are in our prayers.

Katie Moore:

Hello Mr. Spiri,

Thank you so much for sharing your information on a more personal level on the events happening in Iraq. It is hard to get a realistic take on all the information we see in the news, and it is wonderful to get the oppertunity to learn more about our men and women in uniform.
Also, I thank very much for the picture and kind words about my cousin, Captain Matt Sheftic. We all know what a great leader he is and great example for others, including myself. Your words are comforting to read because they shine light on what he his life is like, since he is so far away. You truely have described him in a way that his family and friends have always known him to be.
I pray that God be with you during your travels and thank you again very much for sharing your story.
God Bless,
Katie Moore
